What We Do

U.S. Sport Aircraft - Montgomery (USSAM) is bringing the exciting SportCruiser Light Sport Aircraft (LSA) to Alabama's River Region for flight instruction, rental, and sales.

Affliliated with U.S. Sport Aircraft, Ft Pierce, FL and in partnership with Wetumpka Municipal Airport Fixed Based Operator (FBO) located in Elmore, AL, USSAM is dedicated to providing brand new, state-of-the-art, well-equipped aircraft at reasonable prices for today's demanding pilots. 

Outfitted with a traditional "Six Pack" instrument panel and a Garmin GPS moving map, this outstandingly capable aircraft will allow student pilots to:

• Obtain a Light Sport Aircraft Certificate 
• Acquire a Private Pilot's License
• Be introduced to flying using instruments  (without outside visual reference) 
• Build hours for more advanced rating
• Easily transition into more complex aircraft 

Under the FAA's new Sport Pilot Rule, you can now learn to fly in half the time and for half the cost.

Already a pilot but haven't flown in a while?  Rent the brand new SportCruiser for less than most trainers in operation today and get back in the cockpit!

With the SportCruiser, certificated pilots can:

• Fly cross-country (700 s.m. range)
• Carry passenger plus baggage for useful  load of 563 LBS
• Fly at night (under VFR condition)
• Practice IFR (under VFR condition)
